Financial Times: Raisi’s government conceals real inflation data

The British newspaper Financial Times reported that as Iran’s economic crisis deepens, the Iranian government hides the real data regarding the rate of inflation and unprecedented price hikes.

The newspaper’s reporter in Tehran, quoting economic analysts inside the country, wrote that the inflation rate is higher than the 47.7% that the government announced as the annual inflation rate at the end of February, and the real rate has surged to the highest level in at least 28 years, exceeding 49%.

In this regard, the Etemad newspaper wrote last week that the government manipulates numbers to display an apparent reduction in the inflation rate.
