Following the blocking of the Instagram page of female basketball players, the president of the Basketball Federation thanked the police.
After the Instagram page of the players from the Sahar Academy basketball team, champions of the Iranian Women’s League, was blocked due to the posting of a video showing celebrations and performances without mandatory hijab, Javad Davari, the president of the Basketball Federation, issued a statement thanking the compassionate approach of the police and the fatherly behavior of the government officials.
The statement mentioned that in the wake of media controversies created by hostile media aiming to disrupt the peace of dear Iran, a situation arose that was resolved with the fatherly perspective of the government officials and the responsible actions of the respected police force, ensuring that the noble daughters of this land continue to serve in sports and act as a source of motivation for the women of this society.
It further stated that I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the dedicated managers of the country, including Mr. Mohammad Reza Aref, the honorable Vice President, Commander Radan, the esteemed head of the national police force, and the managers of this organization, as well as all those who helped resolve this issue.
