Foreign airlines refuse to refund Iranian passengers

The chairman of the board of the Association of Air Travel and Tourism Offices of Tehran Province announced on Friday, July 10, regarding the cancellation of flights during the 12-day war and the closure of Iranian airports, that other countries do not accept the cancellation conditions imposed by Iran and are not willing to refund the fares to Iranian passengers.

Amir Pouyan Rafii Shad, in an interview with ISNA, mentioned that the issued directives for refunding the costs of canceled trips are ineffective and added that government officials can at least negotiate with countries frequently visited by Iranians, like Turkey, the UAE, and Thailand.

Iranian airports were closed for 20 days following the Israeli attack on the morning of Friday, June 12.
