The French Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian chargé d’affaires

Catherine Colonna, the French Foreign Minister, announced that the chargé d’affaires of the Islamic Republic’s embassy was summoned due to the suppression of protesters in Iran, Tehran’s treatment of seven imprisoned French citizens, and Iran’s involvement in the Ukraine war.

On Monday, December 12, the French Foreign Ministry also strongly condemned the execution of Majidreza Rahnavard in a statement, calling the suppression of the people and the attack on fundamental freedoms unacceptable.
