The general amnesty for students and university students has been announced.
The Deputy Minister of Culture and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Science, in a letter referring to the amnesty and reduction of sentences for many of the suspects and convicts involved in recent disturbances by the President of the Islamic Republic, requested Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, to make double efforts to benefit the student and faculty members who are accused and convicted of crimes.
With the Minister of Science’s approval, the letters were also sent to the heads of universities and higher education and research centers, so that based on this, with the coordination of university presidents with judicial authorities and chief justices, the mentioned amnesty and forgiveness extends to disciplinary measures of universities as well.
