General Keane: The heaviest US military operation against Iran begins today
General Dan Keane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army, announced that the United States will carry out its largest volume of attacks against Iran today, and military operations against Iran’s missile, drone, and naval capabilities continue.
In his press conference following the US Secretary of Defense, General Dan Keane paid tribute to the four crew members killed in the KC-135 refueling plane crash and thanked all American forces for their sacrifices.
He spoke about the status of the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier, saying that he believes the condition of the ship’s crew will be satisfactory.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army provided details of his country’s military performance in the war with Iran, stating that over six thousand targets in Iran have been attacked and an unprecedented number of sorties have been flown over Iranian skies. The Iranian navy has become combat ineffective. Efforts to counter Iran’s ability to threaten allied forces and commercial shipping continue. Iran’s mining activities in the Strait of Hormuz are prioritized for targeting. Weapon factories and ammunition depots remain targets of attacks.
General Keane emphasized that today will be the busiest day for the United States. These statements come as just moments ago, Pete Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defense, stated that the largest volume of attacks against Iran will be conducted today.
