The German Foreign Ministry: We, like the United States, have changed our stance.

The spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry spoke on Monday about his government’s policies towards Iran. His statements were reflected on the same day that the European Parliament officially cut its ties with the Iranian regime.

The spokesperson talked about the recent situation in Iran and the public protests, explaining another aspect of the German government’s stance while a resolution by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency against Iran has been issued, and Iran has been called upon by the United States and three European countries, including Germany, to fully and decisively cooperate with the agency. He explicitly stated that addressing the issue of Iran’s nuclear program and the JCPOA is not the first and main priority of his government. What they deem necessary is supporting the people of Iran and punishing the oppressive regime of our country.

He clearly stated that Germany is partnered with the United States in this approach, and this is a change of stance that the United States has also undertaken.
