Gharibabadi: With the conclusion of Resolution 2231, the JCPOA reports of the Agency will also cease.

Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that tomorrow, Iran, Russia, and China will jointly send a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council, highlighting the official conclusion of Resolution 2231.

At the meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement’s foreign ministers, more than 121 countries emphasized that the resolution should officially come to an end.

Iran insists that the sanctions reinstated by the U.S. and Europe through the mechanism known as ‘snapback’ have no legal standing, and UN member countries are not obliged to enforce them.

With the conclusion of the resolution, the status of Iran’s issue at the International Atomic Energy Agency will also change, and henceforth, the Director General of the Agency will no longer be required to provide reports on the JCPOA.
