Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee, a writer and civil activist who had previously served prison time for writing an unpublished book about stoning, has been sentenced to 7 years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.

Ms. Iraee, who has been imprisoned multiple times over the past decade, was most recently arrested at her home in Tehran on September 26, 2022, following the nationwide protests in Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the morality police.
