The government’s newspaper is angry at Qalibaf: Do not impose new financial burdens on the government
The government’s newspaper, seemingly upset with Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and other parliament members for opposing the government’s proposal to cancel the distribution of vouchers and abandon the return of essential goods’ prices to those of September 2021, wrote that in recent months, due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the prices of essential goods and energy in global markets have significantly increased, which, along with rising costs for countries, has also intensified their inflation. Thus, for our country, as with other countries, the prices of essential goods have multiplied compared to last year, and the government’s obligation to distribute goods at September 2021 rates will impose a heavy financial burden on the government.
The newspaper continued, stating another point that must be considered is preventing the imposition of new financial burdens on the government.
