The government has sent the bill for the import of used cars to the parliament

Reza Fatemi Amin, the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade of Iran, has stated that the urgent bill for the import of used cars has been approved by the government and will be sent to the parliament promptly.

Mr. Fatemi Amin announced this matter following a session of the Iranian cabinet.

The Iranian Minister of Industry has said that the car market is experiencing turmoil due to demand exceeding supply, but he promised that we will continue imports to some extent until the gap between supply and demand is closed.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, under what it calls support for domestic car production, imposes strict regulations and heavy taxes on car imports.

The Iranian automobile industry is currently under sanctions by the United States.
