The government spokesperson stated that the reason for the helicopter entering the cloud should be investigated.
While many ambiguities still exist regarding the crash of Ibrahim Raisi’s helicopter, officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran are each raising new issues about it.
In the latest comments on the matter, Ali Bahadori Jahromi, the government spokesperson, said, ‘We became aware of the helicopter crash at two-thirty.’
He continued, ‘But we did not inform the government members anything and held the government session because maintaining order was important for Mr. Raisi. At the end of the session, they announced to the government members, and a crisis meeting was held.’
These statements have been made while officials of the Islamic Republic were having ambiguous communication hours after the crash, talking only about the hard landing of the helicopter, which likely did not have many casualties, without mentioning the crash.
Jahromi also added about the weather conditions at the time of the flight, ‘The weather was not very bad during the flight, and they had been given permission to fly. However, it should be investigated why the helicopter did not ascend and entered the cloud or mist.’
