Grain Exports from Ukraine Return to Normal

1 Min Read

The export of grain from Ukraine has returned to normal.

While following Russia’s official announcement of halting the grain export agreement from Ukraine, serious concerns about the near future of food security in less developed countries caused various countries to increase pressure for the agreement’s resumption. Today, Russia announced that it would continue to implement the agreement mediated by the United Nations.

This is in a situation where Recep Tayyip Erdogan, due to a few phone calls and the fact that his country hosted the talks for signing the agreement in the past, has been trying in recent hours to present this development as his own achievement.

Russia has conceded to this situation while a serious battle in Kherson awaits both Russians and Ukrainians. Russia is rapidly evacuating various areas of Kherson, and Western military assessments indicate that the Russian army is preparing for a heavy battle with Ukraine in this region.
