Gravediggers in Gaza have struggled to bury a large number of disabled bodies

Gravediggers in Gaza have struggled to bury a large number of disabled bodies.

More than 10 months into the Gaza war, the number of bodies arriving at Deir al-Balah cemetery is so high that men working under the scorching sun find it difficult to find space for their burial.

Saadi Hasan Barkat, head of a burial and shroud group, tells the French news agency that the cemetery has become so full that bodies are now buried in different layers and on top of each other.

The 63-year-old Barkat, who has been burying bodies for 28 years, says he has never seen such a situation in all the Gaza wars.
