The spokesperson for the Guardian Council said the chastity and hijab bill was once again rejected by the Guardian Council.

The Guardian Council returned the bill known as the chastity and hijab bill to the Iranian parliament.

Hadi Tahan Nazif, the spokesperson for the Guardian Council, said some issues and ambiguities with this bill remain unresolved, and for this reason, we have referred the bill back to the parliament to address the remaining issues.

Whenever the parliament corrects these remaining issues and ambiguities, we will review the amended bill again and announce the Guardian Council’s final opinion.
