The cancellation of Umrah pilgrimage has been announced

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has officially announced the cancellation of Umrah pilgrimage for the year 1402 and stated that the refund process for the registered individuals will begin on Sunday.

According to official Iranian media, Gholamreza Rezaei, the deputy of Hajj and Umrah affairs at the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, stated that due to the delay in obtaining permits for Iranian airplanes to enter Saudi Arabia, the organization has decided to refund the payments of all registered individuals.

Rezaei mentioned that as soon as the Saudi side issues the permit for the entry of Iranian airplanes, the registration process for Umrah pilgrims and the determination of their groups will resume.

According to the deputy of Hajj and Umrah affairs at the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, 30,000 people had registered for Umrah pilgrimage in the year 1402, and the refund process for their payments will begin on Sunday, 28th of Bahman, and is expected to be completed within three to four working days.
