Hakan Fidan: Turkey stands by Iran and the solution to the nuclear issue is only through dialogue

Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, said in a joint press conference with Abbas Araghchi on Sunday, December 9, that Turkey has always been involved in matters related to Iran’s nuclear dossier and will continue to stand by Iran.

In response to journalists’ questions, Fidan said that issues related to Iran’s nuclear dossier must be resolved through dialogue, and Iran should also return to the global community in economic and other areas.

These remarks come at a time when Turkey, as one of the main economic partners of the Islamic Republic of Iran, like most members of the international community, has complied with the sanctions following the activation of the snapback mechanism and the return of UN Security Council sanctions against the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.
