Hamas rejected the proposal for a 2-month ceasefire in the war

Following reports about the details of Israel’s proposals for a new prisoner exchange, a member of Hamas’s political bureau announced today, Tuesday, that this movement opposes Israel’s proposal for a 2-month halt to the war as part of a multi-phase agreement that includes the release of all Israeli prisoners in Gaza. They continue to emphasize a complete cessation of the war and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza before discussing prisoner exchange.

Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, said the movement opposes this proposal because a 2-month halt to the war means that Israel will continue the war, killings, and massacres in the Gaza Strip.
