Hamid Derakhshan said about Carlos Queiroz and his second term as head coach in Iran that certainly, Mr. Queiroz is the best option for us.
In response to the question about the difference between Queiroz’s first and second terms and why he is no longer a critic, Hamid Derakhshan said Queiroz’s behavioral changes have been very good and he has improved a lot compared to before. His experience and understanding of teams have become much better. I say again, the players can implement his ideas on the field very well, which is a very, very important matter.
A very, very important point is that defensively, we have reached a very high level of stability compared to the previous era of Queiroz, and now it’s time to achieve this stability in the offensive phase as well. The team should be able to have various plans for reaching the opponent’s goal and creating opportunities. If one of our influential forwards, like Taremi, is blocked by the opponent, we should have other ways to score.
We must utilize our good players with a plan. We have very good conditions in defense and midfield. Now we must be able to deliver the ball to Azmoun and Taremi with a plan.
