Hamid Rasaee claims the government intends to add fuel transport costs to the price of gasoline

Hamid Rasaee, a former member of parliament, claimed in a letter published on the social network X that the government of Masoud Pezeshkian intends to add the cost of fuel transportation and the commission of station operators to the price of gasoline.

He wrote that while government members always deny the increase in gasoline prices, according to the new government directive, the cost of transporting fuel to the stations and the commission of station operators will be added to the price of gasoline.

With this directive, the price of gasoline will rise from 1,500 tomans to 5,500 tomans.

Rasaee continued by referring to Masoud Pezeshkian’s statements during the presidential election campaign, writing that Mr. Pezeshkian should not forget that during the election campaign, he repeatedly announced that the increase in gasoline prices was a slander from electoral rivals and that he had no such plan.

The government has not yet responded to this claim.
