Harris falls behind Trump
Multiple polls had predicted Harris falling behind her rival in the 2024 election, yet many experts were waiting for the release of the latest YouGov poll conducted for CBS. Finally, the poll showed that Harris is indeed trailing behind Trump by 1%, marking a significant shift in the battle between the two serious competitors. Biden had never been ahead of Trump in this poll before, and he was trailing by 5% in the week leading up to the withdrawal from the competition.
All indicators and statistics from the latest poll have reported serious changes. The enthusiasm of Democrats for voting has significantly increased, and minority groups, especially African Americans, are remarkably determined to vote. The lack of motivation among Democrats and minority groups during Biden’s candidacy period was a serious issue. It is still too early to judge as it is too soon to get a clear view of the election situation. Nevertheless, the conditions have completely changed. The announcement of Harris’s deputy for the 2024 competition will also be a special situation, and we should wait to see its impact on public opinion.
