The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society announced that the number of Iranian pilgrims who have died during the Hajj ceremony has reached 11.

An Iranian official has stated that the number of Iranian pilgrims who have died during this year’s Hajj ceremony reached 11 by the end of Monday, June 18th.

Pirhossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, said that some of these individuals had pre-existing medical conditions and others lost their lives due to heatstroke.

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that if the families of these individuals wish, the bodies of the pilgrims can be transported to Iran, and if there is a request for burial in Saudi Arabia, it is possible.

Mr. Kolivand has announced that the number of pilgrims hospitalized is 26.
