The head of Pezeshkian’s election campaign says Pezeshkian is a candidate for lifting sanctions.
Abdolalizadeh, the head of Pezeshkian’s election campaign, says currently there is a candidate for continuing the status quo and violence, but Pezeshkian is a candidate for lifting sanctions.
The head of Massoud Pezeshkian’s election campaign stated in a press conference broadcast live on Instagram that, as shown in the first stage, the competition is now between ideologies. One candidate supports continuing the status quo, sanctions, and opposes joining FATF and supports violence, while Pezeshkian is a candidate in favor of lifting sanctions, ending sanctions, and establishing fair relations with world countries based on a win-win principle.
He said regarding the second round of elections that it would be better for this choice to move away from two individuals and towards ideologies.
Mr. Abdolalizadeh also emphasized that criticizing the opposing views is essential in elections.
He said fortunately, with the cooperation of the Guardian Council, the Ministry of Interior, the country’s election headquarters, and the four active candidates, the first stage of the elections was conducted properly and satisfactorily.
According to the head of Massoud Pezeshkian’s campaign, there is an opportunity for the two final candidates to present their latest views on the country’s future to the people.
Iranian state media have reported that IRIB will likely hold two one-on-one debates between Massoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili.
