The head of the Atomic Energy Organization stated that we are in the phase of reducing our commitments under Article 36 of the JCPOA.
The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said that according to Article 36 of the JCPOA, Iran has the right to order a reduction in commitments if the parties fail to return to their reciprocal commitments. Currently, we are in the phase of reducing commitments.
He continued by saying that the director is obliged to report the performance of Resolution 2231, which is the text of the JCPOA, to the Board of Governors every three months and to the UN Security Council every six months.
He stated that in the second part, which is related to the JCPOA, the parties have commitments that they did not fulfill. The US withdrew from the JCPOA and also does not allow other countries to cooperate with Iran.
The head of the Atomic Energy Organization reminded that in case of issuing a resolution against Iran in the Board of Governors and political pressure from the parties, Iran will respond according to the statements it has made to them.
