Trial of the suspects in the case of the youth of neighborhoods in Urmia

The Detainee Follow-up Committee announced the holding of a court to investigate the charges against the suspects in the case of the youth of neighborhoods in Urmia.

According to a tweet published by this committee, the court was held on February 1st, and during this session, which reportedly lasted five minutes, the judge informed the defendants that they would be sentenced to between two and five years in prison.

Previously, the West Azerbaijan Sepah Intelligence Organization had stated in its announcements that these organizations were formed as a result of the Tehran neighborhoods youth organizations in Urmia and their leaders were inciting and deceiving the youth.

The Detainee Follow-up Committee states that despite the Sepah’s information stating that the defendants in this case are mostly adults, a significant number of detainees in this case are students, and the youngest detainee is a 15-year-old girl.
