According to Hamshahri Online, Mojtaba Gahramani stated that a drug-related suspect even declared his own death to both receive compensation and have his legal case closed.
Hamshahri Online reported today, Tuesday, May 19, quoting Mr. Gahramani, that currently 70 people are under interrogation and no specific time has been set for the payment of damages.
The head of the Hormozgan Judiciary also mentioned that regarding the missing persons from this incident, the family of one of the victims, who were searching for their loved one until yesterday, found only a set of keys belonging to him.
The explosion at Rajaei Port on April 26 resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.
The death toll reached 70 but was later reduced to 57.
Hormozgan Judiciary stated that the reason for the change in statistics is that the dismembered body parts were collected in different bags.
The cause of this explosion is still unclear.
