Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister, strongly denies the news of his resignation.

Recently, reports were published indicating that some members of parliament are not satisfied with Mr. Amir-Abdollahian’s performance regarding Iran’s international position.

The widespread suppression of recent protests, the execution of political prisoners, and the extensive arrest of protesters, civil and political activists, as well as artistic and sports figures, have repeatedly led to international condemnation of the Islamic Republic.

Some time ago, a Kuwaiti publication named Al-Jarida reported that a group of parliament members are seeking to collect signatures for the impeachment of the Foreign Minister due to the Islamic Republic’s tarnished reputation on the international stage.

This publication wrote that the dissatisfied representatives believe that the Foreign Ministry’s performance has broken Iran’s pride and diminished its value in international forums.

The wave of international condemnation against the Islamic Republic in the past three months has been unprecedented, and the most reputable international human rights organizations have repeatedly taken a stand against the government’s repressive actions in Iran.
