Hossein Amirabdollahian has traveled to Syria after a one-day trip to Oman

Hossein Amirabdollahian has traveled to Syria after a one-day trip to Oman.

This is the first visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Syria after the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

The Israeli attack in Damascus has greatly increased tensions in the region, and Tel Aviv is on alert for possible retaliatory attacks by Iran.

During Mr. Amirabdollahian’s trip to Oman, Badr Al-Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, called for easing tensions and giving priority to the voice of reason in the Middle East.

According to the French news agency, he stated that Oman supports initiatives to reduce tensions in the region and address various conflicts in the Middle East.
