Houshang Javid, an Iranian ritual music researcher, stated that if you look among the ancient rock carvings of Iran, you will see women wearing hijab everywhere.

Houshang Javid, the Iranian ritual music researcher, in an interview with Jam-e Jam newspaper, expressed:

The girl who burns her scarf in the street doesn’t realize she’s burning the roots of her own history. Islam aside, if you look among the ancient rock carvings of Iran, you will see women wearing hijab everywhere. Our historical connection as Iranian ethnic groups within the cultural Iran has always existed, despite the shifting political borders, and it still does. Among all the Kurdish, Lur, Qashqai, Turk, and Baluch tribes, our historical symbols remain. But that young person doesn’t know she’s burning her history. Who enjoys this burning? Those who want to impose their culture of nudity on us. This cultural pressure and coercion come in various forms, the same modern cultural market that Europe started earlier, and unfortunately, we didn’t understand it. We shouted about it, but our officials didn’t take it seriously.
