If Behesht Zahra Organization does not build a new cemetery, 40 dead bodies will remain on the ground one day

If Behesht Zahra Organization does not build a new cemetery, 40 bodies will remain on the ground every day.

The CEO of Behesht Zahra Organization announced Tehran’s need for 6.7 million new graves in the next fifty years and said that if a new cemetery is not built, 40 bodies will remain on the ground every day.

Mohammad Javad Tajik, during the review of the urgency of establishing new cemeteries in the Tehran City Council today, stated that this issue has been under consideration in the council for months. We are 20 years behind on cemetery issues and have the opportunity and capacity until the end of this year.

He also mentioned that four points in the city have been selected for cemetery selection, and an attempt has been made to consider dispersion throughout the city so that the cemetery construction is justified. Our request was to expedite this action as we need 6.7 million graves for the next 50 years.

According to IRNA, ultimately, the urgency of establishing new cemeteries in Tehran was not approved with 10 opposing votes.
