Increasing power of pro-nuclear weapon factions in Iran concerns Western diplomats.
The British magazine Guardian writes in an analysis that there are growing concerns among European and American diplomats that lack of complete supervision over Iran’s nuclear program and simultaneous instabilities resulting from the Gaza war could strengthen the position of Iranian hardliners who support the development of nuclear weapons.
In addition, Ebrahim Raisi recently reiterated that his country continues to pursue non-peaceful nuclear programs.
For this reason, in last week’s meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United States and its European partners issued strong warnings about the threats arising from Iran’s lack of cooperation on nuclear issues.
