India deeply rejected the US human rights report as highly biased.
New Delhi announced on Friday that it does not see any value in the US State Department’s report criticizing the human rights situation in India and considers it deeply biased.
The annual assessment by the US State Department on the human rights situation in India, released earlier this week, has highlighted significant instances of human rights violations in the northeastern state of Manipur. According to this report, these violations were observed in the past year. The US State Department also mentioned the suppression of minorities, journalists, and dissenting voices in other parts of the country in this report.
