The Instagram account of the government’s information base reported in an Instagram post that the Deputy Minister of Interior for Security Affairs denied the closure of parks and gardens on April 2nd, stating that the ministry had not issued any notice regarding the closure of parks and gardens on Nature Day. Previously, Iranian media had reported that due to an order from the Ministry of Interior, parks and recreational areas would be closed on April 2nd until one hour before sunset.
The reason for this action by the Ministry of Interior was stated to be the coincidence of the 13th of Farvardin with the martyrdom of the first Imam of the Shiites.
