The Minister of Interior: We do not have plainclothes

Ahmad Vahidi, Iran’s Minister of Interior, denied the presence of plainclothes personnel, calling it a fabrication. However, he also stated that naturally, intelligence officers are required to be everywhere in their specific attire, and it’s not called plainclothes; it’s their duty.

Vahidi did not specify what the attire of the intelligence officers he mentioned is, nor did he explain exactly what kind of clothing these officers wear in public gatherings.

The Iranian Minister of Interior further claimed that those who were from the police force and those dear ones from the Revolutionary Guard and Basij were present in recognizable uniforms, and we did not have anything in the concept of plainclothes. These were dear ones who were evident at intersections, and there was essentially no need for anyone to be in plainclothes.
