Internet in Iran has faced severe disruptions and speed reduction.
According to reports from users on social networks, this Tuesday morning, 20th of Farvardin, Internet in Iran has experienced severe disruptions and speed reduction.
ISNA news agency has confirmed the disruptions and speed reduction in Internet from around 10 AM this Tuesday. Arvan Cloud company and Shatel company have also confirmed these disruptions and speed reduction. Meanwhile, data centers of Afranet, Pars Online, and Mobinnet have reported a significant speed reduction in Internet.
According to Mehr news agency, Telecommunications Infrastructure Company has announced in response to these disruptions that since the performance of the infrastructure communication network is being monitored online, there is no disruption in the country’s infrastructure network. It is likely that the issue is with one of the telecommunication operators, which is being investigated by the relevant authorities.
The disruption in the country’s Internet network is happening while on Saturday, 18th of Farvardin, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eisa Zar’epour, announced that by the end of this year, Internet speed in Iran will increase by 30% and by the end of 1403, it will increase by at least 50%.
