CNN: Iran is attempting to rebuild ballistic missiles with China’s help

On Wednesday, October 28, CNN reported that the Islamic Republic is intensifying its efforts to rebuild its missile program and ballistic missile arsenal with the help of China.

According to CNN, European intelligence sources have reported that since September 29, several shipments containing 2,000 tons of sodium perchlorate have arrived from China at Iran’s Bandar Abbas.

This substance is the main precursor for producing solid fuel for the Islamic Republic’s medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBMs).

These purchases, which began after the 12-day war with Israel, are an effort to replace the damaged missile stockpiles of the Islamic Republic.

According to this report, although sodium perchlorate is not directly mentioned in the UN sanctions documents, it is a precursor to the banned substance ammonium perchlorate.

Analysts say this material is sufficient to produce about 500 missiles, indicating the Islamic Republic’s urgency to rearm after the war.
