The Iranian beach soccer players have arrived in Brazil.

The Iranian national beach soccer team advanced to the World Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 victory over the UAE. The first goal of the match was scored by the UAE, but subsequently, Mohammad Massoumizadeh and Mehdi Mirjalili, the goalkeeper, managed to open the UAE’s goal.

The beautiful goals by Iranian goalkeepers in the World Cup have drawn attention and praise from FIFA. In the previous match, Hamid Behzadpour and Mehdi Mirjalili scored three goals against Tahiti. Against the UAE, in a situation where the game was deadlocked, Mirjalili with his powerful shot forced his counterpart on the other side of the field to surrender.

With the elimination of the host team in the next stage, Iran will face Brazil, the most successful team in the history of the competition, to qualify for the finals. The Brazilians reached this stage with an 8-4 victory over Japan.
