Iranian drones force the US to criticize the United Nations

The US representative to the United Nations accused Antonio Guterres of apparently succumbing to Russian threats and not sending official UN representatives to Ukraine to investigate the Iranian drones used by Russia. Robert Wood, the US representative to the UN, said we regret that the United Nations has not taken action to conduct routine investigations into this reported violation.

He continued, we are disappointed that the Secretariat has apparently yielded to Russian threats and has not carried out the investigative mission that this council, the Security Council, has assigned to it.

Earlier this month, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reported to the Security Council that UN officials are reviewing available information and any findings will be reported to the council in due course.
