The Iranian Red Crescent has currently found no trace of the helicopter.

Ahmad Vahidi, the Minister of Interior, in an interview with IRIB News about the helicopter incident involving the President in East Azerbaijan, said: Today, we had the inauguration of the Qiz Qalasi Dam with the presence of the President of Azerbaijan, and after that, on the way back, the President and his entourage were traveling with several helicopters, one of which was forced to make a hard landing due to bad weather and the conditions in the region.

Vahidi added that rescue teams have been dispatched to the area, but given the foggy and unsuitable conditions of the region, it may take time to reach the helicopter.

The Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic said: We have been in contact with the President’s entourage, but since the area is complex, communication is somewhat difficult, and we are waiting for the rescue teams to reach the accident site and the helicopter landing to provide us with information.

The Director of Public Relations of the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization announced the dispatch of 20 rescue teams to the area of the helicopter incident carrying the President’s entourage and stated that currently, no trace of the helicopter has been found.
