Vance: Iran’s access to the $300 billion fund is contingent on adhering to its commitments

J.D. Vance, the Vice President of the United States, in response to reports about a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran, said that Tehran can only access such resources if it fulfills its commitments.

In an interview with CBS, when asked whether Iran will have access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund, he said this is something they can access provided they adhere to their commitments.

Vance also emphasized that these resources will not be provided by the United States and, if implemented, will be supplied through the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. He said Washington will only support such a mechanism if Iran remains committed to its obligations regarding the nuclear program.
