Iran’s Foreign Ministry: Talk of executing 800 people in Iran is irresponsible and unrealistic

Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, in his weekly press conference, reacted to Donald Trump’s statements claiming that Iran intends to execute 800 people, calling this claim irresponsible and unrealistic.

He also emphasized that no foreign embassy in Iran has been closed.

These remarks come as several countries have recently evacuated some of their staff from Iran and suspended their diplomatic activities.

Baghaei further stated that the United States is responsible for escalating tensions with Iran and added that it is not Iran that has marched towards the US borders from the Persian Gulf or interfered in US domestic affairs.
