The Iraqi refugee who burned the Quran was shot dead

Salwan Momika, an Iraqi asylum seeker who had burned the Quran several times two years ago in Sweden, was shot dead. According to local media, Salwan Momika was killed by gunfire on Wednesday night, January 31st, in his apartment in the southern suburbs of Stockholm during a live broadcast on the TikTok network. According to Agence France-Presse, after reports about his murder were published in Swedish newspapers, the country’s police also confirmed the news. A criminal court was scheduled to address a complaint against Momika on Thursday morning on charges of insult and hate speech.
