IRNA News Agency Warns About the Eighth Wave of COVID-19 in Iran

IRNA News Agency has reported that due to the mutation of the COVID-19 virus and the emergence of new variants in some countries and certain parts of Iran, along with the incomplete vaccination program, the onset of the cold season, and the lack of adherence to health protocols, concerns about a new wave of COVID-19 spread have increased.

The news agency has written that health ministry officials have warned about the start of the eighth wave of COVID-19 after observing three cases of new sub-variants in Iran.

The news agency, quoting health officials, has stated that the new wave of COVID-19 began in Iran starting from this past Saturday. Although this wave is weaker compared to the seventh wave that occurred in the summer, it is necessary for people to adhere to health protocols, and hospitals and medical staff should be on full alert to combat it.
