The representative of Isfahan once again emphasized the necessity of finding solutions to land subsidence in this city.
Following warnings about the increase in land subsidence in Isfahan, the city’s representative in the first days of the year once again stressed the need for addressing this issue.
According to Mehdi Taghiani, the representative of Isfahan in the parliament, the danger of increasing land subsidence in this city is so serious that if no solution is found in the coming years, we all have to leave Isfahan.
He emphasized in an interview with Khabaronline that the entire Isfahan plain is at risk of subsidence due to the drying up of the rivers in the central plateau of Iran.
In recent years, numerous reports of sudden land subsidence in streets and residential areas in several cities in Iran have been published.
Among them, Isfahan province has been one of the most vulnerable, with even the historic center of Isfahan and its ancient schools and buildings experiencing subsidence in recent years.
