Israel’s attack on an area in Syrian territory near a border crossing with Lebanon

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights based in London says that as a result of Israel’s attack on an area in Syrian territory near a border crossing with Lebanon, seven Iranian-backed militia members have been injured.

According to this independent monitoring organization, Israeli fighter jets bombed a building near the border village of Jdeideh Yabous at the Lebanon border in the early hours of Monday, October 9th, injuring seven Iranian-affiliated militia members, including two Syrian citizens.

This border crossing, located on the Beirut-Damascus road, has become the main escape route for Lebanese fleeing towards Syria following heavy Israeli attacks on Lebanon from a week ago.

According to the United Nations refugee affairs official, nearly one hundred thousand people have fled to Syria in recent days out of fear of Israeli attacks.
