Israeli Defense Minister: We leave no unresolved accounts on any front
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened after his country’s airstrikes on southern Lebanon that any attack against Israeli forces or civilians will be met with a military response.
Katz wrote on the social media platform X that no account will remain unresolved on any front, and for the sake of our soldiers and civilians, we will respond to any action with strength.
On Saturday, August 24, the Israeli army announced that in response to the attack by Lebanese militants on Israeli forces, it targeted the positions and infrastructure of this group in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli army, the country’s forces were present in an area designated as a security buffer zone based on the ceasefire agreement.
According to published reports, Saturday’s attacks left at least 11 dead and were the deadliest round of Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon since the ceasefire began in June.
