Israeli special forces have begun preliminary ground operations in Lebanese territory.

An Israeli official told NBC News that Israeli special forces have started preliminary ground operations in Lebanese territory ahead of a large-scale military attack by the country’s army.

This operation, which has also been confirmed by the Israeli army, is mostly reconnaissance in nature and is intended to gather information about Hezbollah’s positions and other necessary information for the army.

However, the Israeli official emphasized that similar operations have been underway for months and cannot necessarily be interpreted as the imminent occurrence of a major ground attack.
