Israel’s Renewed Attack on Damascus

Syrian state media report Israel’s renewed attack on one of Damascus’s affluent neighborhoods.

According to these reports, the new attack took place on Friday, November 16, targeting the Mazzeh neighborhood, an area hosting several foreign embassies, the United Nations office, and Syrian security headquarters.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated hours later that the target of this attack was a military residential complex in this neighborhood.

According to the same report, security and governmental organizations have completely quarantined the area.

On Thursday, the same neighborhood witnessed another Israeli attack while Ali Larijani, senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic and former Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, was present in the area. Mr. Larijani had met with Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, a few hours earlier.
