Bessant: The Ukraine war cannot be ended without negotiating with Russia

Scott Bessant, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, said the outcome of diplomatic efforts is unclear, but ending the Ukraine war will not be possible without dialogue with Russia.

He added that if trilateral negotiations between the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine take place, Washington will play a pivotal role because, according to him, European countries are not inclined to directly engage in this process.

Bessant also stated that there is a path to ending the war and predicted that after reaching an agreement, the global oil market will have sufficient supply.
