Journalist who recorded the last Navalny video before his death was arrested

A reporter who had recorded the last video of Navalny before his death was arrested.

Antonina Favorskaya, a journalist who had filmed the last video of Alexei Navalny, a Russian opposition politician, before his death, was detained by the authorities of this country.

Favorskaya had covered Navalny’s trials for several years. Reporters Without Borders, an organization supporting media freedom, announced on Friday that she is one of six journalists detained across Russia this month.

A Russian human rights group called OVDInfo reported that Russian authorities detained Favorskaya late on Thursday and accused her of being involved with an extremist organization by posting content on social media for Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation.
